I have a long relationship with the creative arts having many years ago trained as a textile/art teacher in Liverpool. Since retiring, I have continued my love of textiles and I have also developed skills in carpentry. More recently I have completed a course in silver metal clay jewellery making at the Arts University Bournemouth. Metal clay is a substance consisting of tiny silver particles held together with an organic binder and water. When the clay is fired the binder burns away leaving solid silver. This is purer than sterling silver and can be hallmarked. You can find examples of my work on instagram. www.instagram.com/annettelyons20
