Join us for the launch of three new shows at Artizan which will run throughout July.
The exhibiting artists will be with us on the evening of Friday 8 July to talk about their work and what inspires them.
Continuing our 2022 Bursary Programme our Print Exhibition celebrates the diverse nature of printmaking – the exhibiting artists all demonstrating the unique results that are achieved through the various explorations of an artform that is hundreds of years old.
The starting point for each of the artists is that traditional practice of printmaking, with each then producing work on different themes and contexts.
‘The Art of Printmaking’ features works of Steve Manning, Mandi Street, Georgie Fay and Kevin Wright
In our Garden Gallery we welcome two Cambridgeshire based artists who are exhibiting together for the first time. Their exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, printmaking and sculptural ceramics.
‘Of Line and Form’ features works of Sarah Strachan and Kirsten Lavers
Edinburgh based Jenny Pope’s ’s exhibition, ‘Tools to Evoke Change’, hosted in our basement gallery, is a celebration of found objects, car boot sales, old men’s sheds and recycling. It is a playful collection of constructed imaginary self-help tools, the emotional made physical. Part worry beads, part talismans this eccentric cabinet of curiosities will give you a rueful smile.
Join us on Friday evening to meet the artists, view the work and hear from them about their work and practice.
RSVP – Launch Friday 8th July 6 – 8pm
Exhibitions run 9 to 30 July, Tuesday to Saturday 11am – 5pm
