We held our celebration of everything FRESH! at Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton this summer. It was an exclusive exhibition with 54 of our DAN creatives exhibiting work in this very beautiful place, with a wealth of art and craft in the dedicated shop. Our DAN artists also ran a series of demonstrations and workshops at the gallery, running throughout the summer months of 2022. FRESH! was a major new event for us and we hope to build on this to create more opportunities for everyone.

The Open Day was abuzz with demonstrations and sunshine. The exhibition ran from May until July, forming part of Thelma Hulbert Gallery 2022 Creative Communities programme, celebrating the value of individual and collective creative expression through exhibitions, events and workshops. The exhibition featured an inspiring collection of works selected from an open call including painting, sculpture, pottery, glass work, textile and mark making by both established and emerging artists from Devon Artist Network.
Our Devon Artist Network put a spotlight on fresh perspectives and new creative practices; artistic responses which developed or evolved against the context of recent global challenges. The works in this exhibition demonstrated that to great effect; the breadth and depth of creative mediums, capturing everything from our beloved pets, to wild swimming, love letters, identity explorations, sublime landscapes and Grow Your Own.
