About the Exhibition
Running from 19 April – 31 May, Far Horizons presents stunning landscape etchings from Antarctica to Svalbard, and beyond. Yorkshire-based artist Ian Brooks transforms remote and sometimes inhospitable settings into works of austere beauty, using traditional techniques like sugar lift and spit-bite aquatint to capture the rugged, fragile essence of each scene.
What to Expect at the Preview
- An exclusive first look at Far Horizons, showcasing Ian’s intricate printmaking process and remote landscapes.
- The Spring Sculpture Season and Spring Open Printmaker Season on view throughout the gallery, featuring specially selected 3D works and diverse printmaking.
- A complimentary glass of wine to enjoy while exploring the exhibitions.
- A chance to try out printmaking in our workshop space and discover new techniques.
