Bud Hodson

I have been hand-building with clay for some years now and love finding the essence of an animal or bird as I work with the clay. It will suddenly ‘appear’ – the process is wonderful. The glazes I use are inspired by the West Country red earth, greens and browns and greys. I also produce tableware, however usually on the wheel using buff stoneware and I use glazes related to the coastal scenery – blues, whites and greens.
