Devon Artist Network (DAN) is a membership organisation set up to promote the visual arts and create opportunities for artists and makers in Devon.
DAN was established in 2004 and is a non-profit making organisation initiating a range of projects across the county including the well established Devon Open Studios (DOS) event that runs annually in September.

I am a wildlife, equestrian and canine artist working in oils, charcoal, pastel and mixed media. My roots are based in realism, but I work impressionistically with large brushstrokes and energy and movement being at the forefront of my work. My ethos lies in sketching and drawing from life or memory wherever possible, horses and terriers being favourite subjects and I have been lucky enough to travel and see many of the animals I depict in the flesh. Generally, my drawing pieces evolve their own form on the paper after a few marks! I have also done commissioned portraits for the past 15 years with a countrywide clientele with an emphasis on producing as life-like an image as possible. |
